  • Abolish Disease (Mouseover)

    PriestWoW Classic

    #showtooltip Abolish Disease
    /cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][help][@player] Abolish Disease

Clears disease from a hovered ally, defaulting to yourself. Swap the name to Cure Disease if you have not learned Abolish yet.

  • /micon "Your Action"
    /merror off
    /ac "Your Action" <f>
    /ac "Your Action" <t>

<f> points an action at your focus target regardless of what you have selected. Set your co-tank or the enemy you need to watch as focus, and the macro becomes a permanent second target you can act on at will.

  • Add a Friend

    GeneralAion

    /Friend Character Name

Adds a character to your friends list so you can see when they come online without searching for them.

  • /friend Player.1234
    /unfriend Player.1234

Adds a player to your contacts list or removes them. Contacts are account-wide, so you see them online regardless of which character either of you is on.

  • Addle on Focus

    ThaumaturgeFFXIV

    /micon "Addle"
    /merror off
    /ac "Addle" <f>
    /ac "Addle" <t>

The caster damage reduction, pointed at your focus target so you never have to leave the thing you are casting on.

  • Adloquium (Mouseover)

    ScholarFFXIV

    /macroicon "Adloquium"
    /ac "Adloquium" <mo>
    /ac "Adloquium" <t>
    /ac "Adloquium" <me>

Shields the person under your cursor. Scholar lives or dies on pre-shielding the right target, and mouseover is the only way to do it without losing Broil casts.

  • Agony (Mouseover)

    WarlockWoW

    #showtooltip Agony
    /cast [@mouseover,harm,nodead][] Agony

Applies Agony without changing target. Agony ramps over time, so getting it onto every target as early as possible is worth real damage.

  • LO
    /alias add bree /travel Bree-land
/alias add ered /travel Ered Luin

Hunters and everyone with a map skill accumulate dozens of travel destinations. An alias per destination is far faster than opening the skill panel every time.

  • All Warlock Utility on One Key

    WarlockWoW Classic

    #showtooltip
    /use [nomod,button:1] Healthstone
    /cast [nomod,button:2] Create Healthstone
    /use [mod:shift,button:1] Soulstone
    /cast [mod:shift,button:2] Create Soulstone
    /cast [mod:alt] Ritual of Summoning
    +1 more

Healthstone on left-click and Create Healthstone on right-click, with Shift swapping both to Soulstone and Alt casting Ritual of Summoning.

  • /cast [mod:shift] Summon Imp; [mod:ctrl] Summon Succubus; [mod:alt] Summon Voidwalker; Summon Felhunter

Summons your Felhunter by default, with Imp, Succubus and Voidwalker on Shift, Ctrl and Alt. Four summons on one key, which is worth it given how often you swap.

  • TA

    Alpha Strike

    TacticalSTO

    /bind t "team Alpha strike $$ +TrayExecByTray 1 0 $$ +TrayExecByTray 1 1 $$ +TrayExecByTray 1 2"

Fires your damage cooldowns together and announces it. Tactical burst windows are short and stack multiplicatively, so opening with half of them is close to wasting all of them.

  • #show Your Buff
    /suppressmacrofailures
    /cast @self Your Buff

@self forces a friendly ability onto you no matter what you have targeted. Far more reliable than the older trick of typing your own character name into a /target line, and it survives a character rename.

  • Angel Whisper Raise

    Blue MageFFXIV

    /micon "Angel Whisper" blueaction
    /merror off
    /ac "Swiftcast" <wait.1>
    /p Raising <t>
    /blueaction "Angel Whisper" <mo>
    /blueaction "Angel Whisper" <t>
    /blueaction "Angel Whisper" <2>
    /blueaction "Angel Whisper" <3>
    /blueaction "Angel Whisper" <4>
    +4 more

Swiftcasts a raise and then walks every party slot until one lands. Angel Whisper has a long cooldown, so the chat call-out stops a second raiser wasting theirs on the same body.

  • #showtooltip Angelic Feather
    /cast [@player] Angelic Feather

Drops a speed feather directly on yourself rather than making you place it and walk into it. When you need to move right now, the two-step version is too slow.

  • CO
/macro Recall "team Teleporting $target - hold still$$powexec_name Recall Friend"

Recall Friend drops the target on top of you with no warning, which is startling mid-fight. Announcing first is basic courtesy and this makes it automatic.

  • /p Taking LB <se.3>

Tells the party you are taking the limit break before you use it. Two people using it at once wastes the bar entirely, which makes the announcement the important half of this macro.

  • BL

    Announce the Nuke

    BlasterCity of Heroes

/macro Nuke "team Nuking - cover me$$powexec_name Inferno"

Tells the team before you drop an area attack, because on many builds it leaves you without endurance afterwards and they need to be ready to cover you.

  • EN

    Announce Your Buff

    EntertainerSWG

    /say Entertainer buffs available, just ask;
    /pause 60;
    /macro buffannounce;

Tells the cantina what you are offering on a timer. Half of the SWG social economy ran on macros exactly like this one.

  • Anti-Magic Zone (Cursor)

    Death KnightWoW

    #showtooltip Anti-Magic Zone
    /cqs
    /cast [@cursor] Anti-Magic Zone

Places Anti-Magic Zone at your cursor instantly. Cancels any spell you have queued first so the bubble lands the moment you press the key rather than after your current cast finishes.

  • Apply Poison

    RogueWoW Classic

    #showtooltip Instant Poison
    /use Instant Poison
    /use [mod:shift] 17; 16

Applies your poison to the main hand, and the off-hand while Shift is held. Poison reapplication is a chore in vanilla and this cuts it down to one key.

  • RE
    /macroicon "Arcane Crest"
    /ac "Arcane Crest" <me>

A small shield that turns into party healing when it breaks. Explicitly self-targeting stops the macro from failing while you have an enemy selected.

  • #showtooltip
    /cast [combat] Arcane Explosion; Arcane Explosion(Rank 1)

Casts max rank in combat and Rank 1 out of it. Rank 1 out of combat is the cheap way to sweep for stealthed Rogues without draining your mana bar.

  • #showtooltip
    /cast [mod:shift,@mouseover,help][mod:shift,@player] Arcane Intellect(Rank 1)
    /cast [@mouseover,help][@player] Arcane Intellect

Buffs whoever is under your cursor, falling back to yourself. Holding Shift casts Rank 1 instead, which is the cheap version you use on a low-level alt you are dragging through a dungeon.

  • #show Pillaging Stone
    /suppressmacrofailures
    /cast Surging Flare
    /cast Volcanic Bomb
    /cast Earthen Barrage
    /cast Leeching Flames
    /cast Pillaging Stone
    /cast Flame Bolt*
    +3 more

This macro is designed for Archon and can be customized with your preferred DPS spells. Be mindful of the order of spells, and make sure to place Pillaging Stone at the end, as it has no recast. Off global cooldowns and ranged abilities can be placed after Pillaging Stone. This macro will suppress macro failures.
