Team Chat in WvW and PvP

Posts to your team, which only exists in competitive modes. In World versus World this is the channel the whole server side sees, so it carries further than squad chat.

Where to paste this

Press Enter to open the chat box and type the command exactly as written, including the leading slash.
For commands you use constantly, drag them onto a chat tab shortcut or keep them in a text file next to the game.
Rebind keys in Options → Control Options; a good bind beats a macro in almost every case.
Use Build and Equipment Templates (the arrow tabs on the Hero panel) instead of scripting gear or trait swaps.

Adds a player to your contacts list or removes them. Contacts are account-wide, so you see them online regardless of which character either of you is on.
Block and Unblock a Player

Stops a player contacting you, and reverses it again. /ignore and /unignore are aliases, and the block list survives across characters because it is account-wide.

Prints a free-form emote in the third person, which reads as an action rather than speech. /emotelist shows every built-in animation emote you can use instead.
Drop a PvP Rank Banner

Plants a banner showing your PvP rank. Adding a number from 1 to 80 drops a banner of that specific rank instead, which is used far more for messing about in town than for anything competitive.

Opens the official wiki in your browser for whatever you type after the command. Shift-clicking an item into chat first pastes its exact name, which makes this the fastest way to look up a recipe, a collection step or a skill.
Invite to Squad

Invites a player straight into your squad. Commanders use it to pull in a specific person without them having to find the LFG entry.
Invite to Your Guild

Invites a player to whichever guild you are currently representing. Getting the representation right first is the step people forget.
Join a Squad by Name

```
Requests to join the squad of any player already in it, which is far quicker than finding the commander tag on a crowded map. /sqjoin is the short form.
